A reinvestigation of the famous Victorian crime, when William Corder, in 1827, murderered Maria Marten in the Suffolk village of Polstead, and buried her body in the Red Barn, a building on Corder's land. Maria's mother dreamed her daughter was dead and buried in the Red Barn, and on April 19, 1928, her daughter's murdered body was found. Corder was eventually hanged on August 11, 1928 at Bury St. Edmunds. Illus. and Appendix, which includes the Mystery of Corder's Skull and Advertisement for Wives.
