Chapter 6 of the memoirs is entitled The Hampstead Murder (Mrs. Pearcey); other contents include : Adolph Beck; Neil Cream; The Camden Town Murder (Robert Wood); The Muswell Hill Murder (Milsom and Fowler); The Deptford Murder (the Stratton brothers who were the first to be convicted of murder by fingerprint evidence); Houndsditch and Sidney Street; Sidelights on the Crippen Case + much more. Includes two loosely inserted b/w pictures of Dr. Crippen's actress wife, Belle Elmore (see images), the originals of which were auctioned at Sotheby's in 1976, along with letters which helped to hang Dr. Crippen, (the first murderer caught with the help of radio), on November 21, 1910 for the murder of his wife. With Portrait Frontis. + tissue-guard and Index. 300pp. lge. 8vo. h/back.
