Surprisingly, little has been written about a chief protagonist, the successful Dr. Gully, owner of an enormous practice at Malvern between 1842 and 1871. This is Dr. Gully's story written in fictional form, though based on thorough research into every known facet of the case. It begins at the time when the doctor's patient, Florence Ricardo, fell under his spell. Florence later married Charles Bravo, who died, poisoned, on April 18, 1876. 283pp. p/back.
