Hardback - Volume I and Volume II.....Tried at the Lancaster Lammas Assizes, 1834 Before Mr. Baron Gurney and a Special Jury. 'Mr. Armstrong, in opening the pleading stated that Sandford Thatham was the plaintiff, and George Wright the defendant. The declaration was in ejectment to recover possession of the Manor of Hornby, in the county of Lancaster...Also the manorial rights, tithes of corn, grain, hay, grass &c. within the said manor of Tatham, in the said county, and the rectory of the parish church of Tatham...together with the tithes of corn, grain &c. also divers messuages, cottages, and buildings, in the county aforesaid, out of all which premises it was alleged that the defendant had ejected the plaintiff, and wrongfully kept him out of possession of the same. To this the defendant had pleaded not guilty, and that was the question which the jury had to try.'
