Hardback. SIGNED. A classic case-history of murder. In January 1909 an attempted wage snatch in North London led to a bizarre and tragic running battle which became known as the 'Tottenham Outrage'. Nearly 2-yrs. later the gang tried to rob a jeweller's shop in Houndsditch and, in fleeing from the police, killed 3 officers and crippled 2 more. Armed police hunted the East End for the killers, and eventually an informer led them to a house in Sidney Street where 2 of the gunmen were hiding, and so began the famous 'Siege of Sidney Street'. Illus., List of Characters, Select Bibliog. and Index. 187pp. 8vo. h/back.
