Softcover. In December 1991, the National Association of Probation Officers published its evidence to the Royal Commission. It was claimed that up to 700 prisoners in England and Wales may well have a legitimate grievance about their conviction. The assertion was made after interviews with seconded prison probation officers in 15 jails in England and Wales. Subsequent evidence from HMP Long Lartin suggests that the figure is conservative. Featuring a selection of 22 cases where NAP0 had been able to analyse the available case material, and submit the summaries as supplementary evidence to the Commission. All 22 men adamantly insisted that they were innocent and the victims of a miscarriage of justice. 4to 6pp. Summary + 22pp. of individual cases. Nr. F.
