One of the 2 men sitting on the bike shot her 6 times with a .357 Magnum pistol killing her. Geurin's murder caused outrage. In 1995, the author had begun to collaborate with Geurin on a screenplay: the story of a woman journalist who takes on the crime bosses of the Dublin underworld.
