Softcover. The Whitechapel Journal was founded by Stephen Wright, a Ripperologist who was based in New York. Stephen wrote 'Jack the Ripper - An American View' a p/back published in 1999 and limited to 150 copies. The first issue of Whitechapel Journal was published in Autumn 1996, and thereafter every Spring and Autumn until Stephen sadly died. The contents of Issue no. 6 includes : The Rehabilitation of Major Henry Smith by Dr. Frederick Walker; Allan Pinkerton, The Original Private Eye, and His Detective Agency by Stephen Wright; and Lizzie Borden Centenary Conference Revisited by Virginia Love Long + Book Reviews. 21pp. A4 stapled magazine format.
