Paperback. Reprint. On June 17, 1970 in the small farming district of Pukeawa, south of Auckland, New Zealand, Harvey and Jeannette Crewe were shot and killed in their home. Some time later Arthur Allan Thomas was charged with their murder and found guilty. Eventually, after a second trial and many investigations, the last one by the author, on December 17, 1979, Thomas was granted a royal pardon, and in 1980 awarded nearly 1 million dollars in compensation for the 9yrs he had served behind bars.
