Hardback. A Guide to the Provisions of the Pharmacy and Poisons Acts 1852 to 1933 and the Dangerous Drugs Acts 1920 to 1932 for the Use of Pharmacists and others concerned with Transactions in Drugs and Poisons. With a Chapter on the International Background of Dangerous Drugs legislation by Sir Malcolm Delevingne KCB, KCVO. This book was written at the request of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain for the use of those carrying on business as chemists and druggists. Its scope was extended in the hope that it may also be useful to medical practitioners, pharmaceutical manufacturers, "listed sellers of Part II poisons" and others who use or deal in poisons, but was not written to serve as a legal textbook. Appendix I Text of Statutes, Statutory Rules etc.; Appendix II List of Preparations containing Poisons, + Index. 444pp. 8vo. h/back. With loosely inserted 'Notice' Amendments to the Dangerous Drugs Regulations, which were about to be amended. The publication of the book was delayed with a view to making amendments to the text, but took too long as the book was due for publication on May 1st when the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1933 came into operation. Lightly marked covers, lettering no longer legible on sp. Vg. A fairly heavy book which will require additional postage if shipped overseas.
