Paperback. First published on April 20, 1937, Mellifont Celebrated Crime Series No. 14, pulp paperback, 8.5" x 5.5". The author suggested that a woman was responsible for the Ripper killings of 1888, namely Olga Tchkersoff, who had allegedly revealed her story to two elderly Russian immigrants. 96pp. p/back. Neatly/professionally repaired with new covers of plain beige card, with substantial remnant of the original fr.cover 'rescued' and painstakingly adhered to the card. (see image). Parts of the original sp. laid down (original rear cover not present). Browned pp., several of which have small chips to edges (margins only not affecting the text). Binding is firm. Comes with a tailor-made slipcase of plain beige paper over thin card (see image). Copies of this elusive Jack the Ripper 1st edn. title are extremely rare, even in this condition.
